The Book Lovers’ Supper Club

Love books? Enjoy reading, food and conversation? Then join us as we create some very special evenings for book lovers. Share your passion with like-minded people and meet a best-selling author over a delicious supper in a beautiful country village.

Every two months or so, The Book Lovers’ Supper Club comes to the vintage setting of The Barn on the village green in the historic village of Ditchling, East Sussex. The price of your ticket includes a delicious supper of locally sourced food, a glass of wine or cordial, a reading from the author’s latest book, an irreverent interview, and the chance for you to ask your own questions and chat with the author. Books for signing are available afterwards from a friendly local bookshop.

Jessica Fellowes, author of the Downton Abbey, kicked off the first Book Lovers’ Supper Club with a house packed to the rafters. We’ve welcomed best-selling crime writers like Peter James (twice!), Erin Kelly and William Shaw; we’ve laughed with Helen Lederer and Mark Ellen, almost cried with Emma Healey and Dinah Jefferies, learned the secrets of the Royals with Penny Junor and been entranced by Sarah Winman, Debbie Howells and Carol Drinkwater.

Look out for our posters, and  to keep up with the latest Book Lovers’ news and find out the date of our next Supper Club, or follow us on Twitter: bookloversupper@bkloversupper

Tickets cost £25 from http://www.tabl.com (plus 75p admin charge) or buy in person from Ditchling Post Office. Book early to guarantee your place as we only have room for 70!
